Overfilled/Underfilled Canal

Due to the uncontrolled Speed and Torque During Root Canal Treatment, the root canal may be filled beyond the apex or half-filled.

Ledge formation

It is the deviation from the original canal curvature, that occurs if the set of files is wrongly used or any one or more no. of the file may be missed during Biomechanical Preparation.

Improper Biomechanical Preparation

The improperly done work always leaves behind a number of problems which again is very time-consuming to solve. Improperly performed biomechanical preparations don’t clean the infected tissues and give a good shape to the Canal Preserving the original Canal Anatomy, which leads to re-infection in the canal.

Zipping or Elliptication

Again, the procedural error that happens most commonly in curved or J-shaped canals. It occurs when the file is trans-positioned from the apex and forms a zip-type anomaly inside the canal.

Furcation Perforation

It is also a most commonly occurring procedural error in Root Canal Treatment. It happens mostly in molars having more than one root. Where the two root meets, the portion is knowns as “Furcation” When the trans positioned file is pushed again forward with extra torque, it leads to the hole type structure near the apex, which again is very time-consuming for the dentist to rectify.

File Breakage Inside The Canal

In Endodontic treatment, the Ni-Ti files are used which helps in cleaning and shaping the root canals.  In case of any abnormality inside the canal for e.g. Pulp stones or narrow canals in geriatric patients, the file is fragile to be used and it breaks inside the canal, the retrieval of which becomes difficult for the dentist or impossible.
